Susan Strong transforms her homely garden shed into an indoor / outdoor chef-d’oeuvre .
" When I move into my household in NW Arkansas five years ago there was a homely little garden shed in the SE recession of my backyard where I wanted to site my raised veg garden . I had the shed moved just a short distance to the SW corner with the purpose of do it more presentable . I had it domicile and a new smaller ( and more attractive ) door made . Next , I paint the body and the unexampled doorway and had someone build a cedarwood treillage on each side . Then came the fun part of planting rose wine on the treillage and construction / planting two modest garden areas ( one on the left and behind the shed and one on the proper side ) . This work take place over four twelvemonth , during which time I was take in vintage tool that I purchased quite inexpensively at estate sale and flea markets . While I was felicitous with the garden shed exterior and surrounding garden areas , the inside of the shed persist distressing looking for ; so this spring I painted the roof , walls and floor and adorn the inside with the vintage tools I had been hoard since I moved here . Now the inside is a fitting match for the exterior and I smile each time I open up the doorway . "
