Hi GPODers and welcome , to GPOD After Dark !

In case you missed yesterday ( which you should definitely go back and check out here ) , we see Terry Redling ’s New Jersey garden filled with flowers , including many varieties of lily and daylilies .

Hi , I am Terry Redling and live in Gillette , NJ , a semi rural suburb about 28 miles outdoors of NYC . We used to be geographical zone 6b now we have a 7a garden . I am a geriatric doctor by day ( as well as at Nox when on call ) and enjoy the meditation and smasher of our garden to de - strain and renew . I sleep with all types of lilies ( includinghemerocallis , or commonly known as daylilies ) . Deer are a big topic , but the netting is barely visible and keeps the deer off the flowers . My husband Jeff and I have sex to spend fourth dimension outside tending our property and our veg garden , which he built in 2 tiers over the years . We enjoy sitting by our ardor pit or mill around in the hot vat surrounded by all this mantrap .

Today we ’re back in Terry ’s garden and attend how the outer space transform when the Dominicus goes down .

A banquet of lilies and daylilies in all sorts of colors and forms ! And despite the lower lighting , the flower petal are still absolutely glowing .

Yet another unbelievable lily variety , ‘ Salmon Star ’ ( Lilium‘Salmon Star ’ , Zones 4–9 ) has many similarities to the ‘ Zeba ’ and ‘ Big Smile ’ varieties we looked at yesterday , but in a more slap-up - colored package .

If you ’re seem to make your outside space more magical at night , some well - placed igniter are all you need . Sprinkled throughout this perimeter of lilies gives the space a whole new attribute . There are also a wealth of solar - power options now on the market that allow you to add light with no need to run wiring or add to your electrical bill .

Terry cite in her presentation that she make out daylilies as much as on-key lilies , and this variety is about as sweet as they fall . ‘ Strawberry Candy ’ daylily ( Hemerocallis‘Strawberry Candy ’ , Zones 3–9 ) can easy mingle with more soft colors while adding a shining pop , but also provides great texture with its frilly edges .

Another view of the incredible lily and daylily take bed , perfectly send next to the terrace where you could pose and enjoy the website and smells for as long as you ’d like — a setting sun put no muffler on this garden gloriole .

And all handily site next to a red-hot tub ? ? I ’m finding Terry ’s physician career is that much more telling because I ’m not certain I would ever be able to rive myself aside from this garden oasis .

Of of course , there are n’t just lily and daylilies in the garden . Terry has some other incredible bloom of youth , like thisbigleaf hydrangeasporting several specter of dark and purpleness .
