New growth after winter damage
Linda in New Hampshire is deal her garden with us today , with some range of a function of hope after wintertime damage .
This will be my third summertime in this sign after relocating from the Garden State ( New Jersey ) to the Granite State ( New Hampshire ) . Spring take a flake longer to arrive up here , so I am discover to be patient . I garden as a hobby but would love to become a Master Gardener finally , maybe in retreat .
luckily , the premature owner here was a gifted gardener and leave a lot for me to work with ( and on ) . My first class here was spent playing “ Name That Plant . ” The garden palpate a little chaotic to me , so I have been stress to tame it a bit without losing the wonderful born flavor to it .

I was afraid all was lost for this rhododendron . . .
. . . until I saw this . Hope !
Lady slippers(Cypripedium acaule , zone 3–7 ) always give hope . I stumbled across a patch of peeress slippers in the backyard my first spring here , and now I watch closely for their arrival . ( Remember , if you are lucky enough to have madam slipper in your garden , treasure them , but never apprehend them from the wild . These native orchids have very specific cultural needs and near symbiotic relationship with dirt fungi , and they seldom make the move from wild lands to garden successfully . )

The garden path , line with perennials burst into their leaping growth .
It ’s the start of the time of year , with other bloomers and bunch of hope for more efflorescence to follow .
Pink lily - of - the - valley(Convallaria majalisvar.rosea , Zones 2–7 ) is so beautiful and fragrant , though it ’s occasionally vigorous to a faulting in northern gardens .

The fringe tree(Chionanthus virginicus , Zones 3–9 ) wo n’t bloom until the first half of June , but this pic is from a late yr . It is quite a show .
We did advance beds for the herbs , and the tarragon(Artimisia dracunculusvar.sativa , Zones 4–9 ) come back from last year .
