Locally - grow , seasonal and sustainable flowers do questions about a safe and reliable supply of bloom . Awareness our Movement continue to increased as floral consumers and florist shop alike dislodge their focus to what ’s closer to home . Panic over the outside floral supplying chemical chain has quickly turned to a subtle but significant and newfound apprehension that if we do n’t nurture and support our local flower supply , there may come a day when farmland has been converted to actual estate developments ; where commitment to a safe , more sustainable earthly concern has been displace by convenience .

The anecdotical feedback I ’m see is inspiriting . I receive an e-mail recently from a drawing card in , shall I say , “ mainstream ” floristry , who write :

“ After two ten of think traditional middleman connexion were the only way to run a floral studio or shop , I ’m tardily starting to learn about local   flower - farmers and am constantly in awe of their entrepreneurial spirit , and ca n’t imagine how much hard piece of work go into what they do .
