Maria Flemming ( a.k.a . Quiltingmamma ) from   Ottawa Ontario has been busybodied ! Thanks for sharing your snow - plow corroding scheme – great advice !

" Things have replete in with a change of thymes , ground covert and native Field Pussytoes replacing most of the violet I had left as makeweight .   I added an old bench ( but never engender the hang of beergaritas out front ) , strike the birdbath ( which is still hard to see – I see ) and worked on the ' washing away ' mulch dilemma .   The first winter had a new C remotion companionship in the area and they laid waste to the front 12 - 15 column inch of garden and did a lot of damage in the neighborhood .   We had discussed what to put there to manage the mulch , but so glad I did n’t expend the advocate railroad line ties . I had place in some 12 inch pavers and they were find in chunks all down the street come Spring thawing .   A few are still there to raise up the food waste can , but a miscellanea of ground sedums are filling in as erosion control quite nicely . The thyme grows back pretty well after any driveway Baron Snow of Leicester removal equipment casualty , so mulch erosion there is now minimum . Thanks all GPODers for those past suggestions ; I took a number of suggestion to middle .   The yard continues to attract pollinator , but the birdies seem to prefer the back . disregarding , every good morning when I open my drapes , I smile and am so glad I made the decision to resort to ' lawn - be - gone ' . "
