Tim says,“After seeing Miyako ’s photos of her annuals and realize that many of us are using the same flame nettle varieties this twelvemonth , I was inspired to go out take some photograph of the massive tangles come from the few containers I have .

“ Most everything in the garden is revel in the nerveless weather and the rain that we had virtually draw a blank existed this summer . All the photograph are from the last workweek of September , except the agapanthus , which was consider in July .
“ The principal of the coleus varieties here is the twilit , velvety , purplish - smuggled one that trails and never seems to blossom . The cascade down the front step is just the outgrowth of two cuttings in the nearly invisible downcast container at the top of the stairs . All of the perennial scenes are of country that received little or no supplemental water during the high temperature and drought . ”
