I make love establish for scent . Is there anything secure than walking into a beautiful garden and being greeted with the sweetest perfume waft in the air ?
You bet around to see what could possibly be emitting such redolence and follow your nose to a endearing flower that is as enjoyable to take in as it is to smell .
Each part of the garden season has its own sweet - smack donation .

Violas
I have favorites for natural spring like bright , gay violas ..
They come up in such an array of colors but their perfume is staring Spring for me .
I set my windowpane boxes full in Fall , they sit there all winter huddled together then on the first tender Day they take a hop into bloom and emit a light delectability that just yell Spring for me , even if Spring is a bit down the road yet .

Sweet Williams
Sweet Williams gives off a gentle fragrance as well and they are former bloomers here . I did an entire post on growingSweet Williamsas many are not familiar with this snug cousin of the Dianthus ..
Scented Iris
Some of my heirloom Iris ( my grandmother called them Flags ) also have a fun scent , it reminds me of Grape Kool - help and they bloom early on and last for weeks on end .
