I fell in love life with backyard permaculture design and gardening year ago .

Ever since I ’ve been slowly learning backyard permaculture design from capital permaculture books and implement all the design principles that I can . Today I ’m going to talk over what permaculture is with some examples of permaculture purpose . I ’ll also show you our homestead permaculture limit up + future permaculture design goal .

What is backyard permaculture design?

A unproblematic explanation of permaculture is to build up your garden , filth and backyard homestead so that it is ego - sustaining with small to no vitality input from external resources but that ’s down care too . This of course takes time , but the finish is to create a backyard that work together using patterns often seen in nature and replicate them to the backyard .

Permaculture pattern and designs are inspire by the natural life hertz we see in the wild , which flows in circles and is never unvarying .

Some Permaculture Examples

Permaculture example #1

Instead of relying on buying crybaby provender , you create and project a backyard system that benefits feeding your chickens or else of just ‘ keep them ’ . You ’ll create dissimilar areas for them to eat from , let areas rest so it can re - grow , grow mealworm or grass sprouts for them to it . You ’ll put your chickens to make and let them do the composting for you . Your chickens get to gratuitous - orbit and control pests , corrode up decomposing yield from fruit trees . You let thechicken coop beddingand manure to take a breather and molder which you ’ll fertilize your garden with which helps your plants to raise and builds up your ground . You also get happy poulet eggs ! If you have the space you ’ll grow some grain for your chickens for the winter month .

Permaculture example #2

With permaculture gardening , you ’re designing a garden that builds up your soil over time , attracts pollinator or reduces pests . Maybe you have an area outside your garden where you develop comfrey that you foreshorten down twice a time of year and make fertilizer teatime ( instead of buying it ) or use it to build up up the soil . You ca nt keep volaille so you practise vermicomposting and compost

Our Backyard Permaculture Design

mighty now we ’re building up our backyard into permaculture intention zones and I ’ll be share with you how we build it over time ( it will take years ! ) . Right now we ’ve been create light condition and long term homestead projects for our backyard . Although we go on 2.5 acres , our set up is in a fenced area about 1/4 of an Akko because we have herds of elk that come up through and call for further fence .
