Pickling is an easy way to preserve the flavor of freshly picked peppers

Once August roll around , I sleep together I ’m going to have my hands full of vegetables from the garden . Even though I expend as much saucy green groceries as possible — and donate the extra to my local food bank — there ’s always more than I can handle .

If I ’m light on time , I go for the spry and easiest ways for preserving . For example , I sometimes just wash and freeze whole cherry tomatoes , use ordinary pickle juice topickle dome , and simmer jar of jalapeno peppers for the fridge .

I care this pickling method acting because it take about 30 minutes from start to finishing . It forget the peppers with a courteous crunchy grain to apply as a condiment to deplete alone , splosh on sandwich , or down on corn chips for nachos .

Be sure to put on kitchen gloves whenever working with hot peppers , and reject the urge to contact your face or eyes .

1/2 pound fresh jalapeno chile peppers1 - 3/4 cups white vinegar1 big Eugenia aromaticum garlic1 teaspoonful kosher salt1/8 teaspoonful turmeric

Directions

With refrigeration , the peppercorn will keep for several months .
