How To Transition From Lawn to Wildflowers

1Soil Preparation

The instructions say to start the seeds in late spring but we had a cold snatch in June so I held off until the terminal of June .

To get started , I make the sowing area of plants and roots and put down a bed of top territory .

Many wildflowers mixes do best in poor quality soil . I have scores of that so I did not total any compost or manure .

We got a monumental pelting tempest the same day I sow the seeds . I was distressed they would lave away .

2Week One

sprouting conditions were clearly perfect because this is how it look just a few sidereal day later . Lots of seedling !

I mitt - watered the intact sowing area daily if needed to keep the dirt moist for the first two weeks .

2Week Two
