Sometimes it ’s punishing to regain good dip people of colour in Southern garden , but I ’ve made it a special project for myself these retiring twosome of years . Japanese maples as well as heat - liberal conifers supply lots of colors .
View of the garden in fall , with plenty of Japanese maple ( Acerpalmatum , Zones 5–9 ) and conifers helping supply social organization and color as surrender sour into winter
Nipponese anemones ( Anemonehupehensis‘Pamina ’ , Zones 5–8 ) provide a bright flowery vis-a-vis to the fall foliage color .

‘ Bloodgood ’ Nipponese maple ( Acerpalmatum‘Bloodgood ’ , Zones 5–9 ) puts on a fall display that is brilliant and reliable even in climate that do n’t typically have bully fall color .
Two more maple , Acer japonicum‘Meigetsu ’ ( zone 5–7 ) with orangish leaf , andA. palmatum‘Tamukeyama ’ ( zone 5–9 ) with red leaves here are backed up by other shrubs include purple infield loropetalum ( Loropetalum‘Purple Diamond ’ , Zones 7–10 ) and ‘ Blue Point ’ juniper bush ( Juniperuschinensis‘Blue Point ’ , Zones 4–8 ) .
devolve Japanese maple foliage can be just as beautiful after it drops to the ground as it is on the tree .

A magic combination : fallen Japanese maple go out withHeuchera‘Wild Berry ’ ( Zones 4–8 )
