On 22 May 2025 , Director General Jong - i HU , Agriculture and Food Agency , Council of Agriculture of the Republic of China ( ROC ) and Martin Ekvad , President of the Community Plant Variety Office ( CPVO ) signed an Administrative Arrangement on the mutual credit of examination consequence for industrial plant variety show aegis for Phalaenopsis and Doritaenopsis potpourri , more commonly known as butterfly orchids .
